On 11th January 1969, McDonnell Douglas Phantom FG.1 XV582 took to the skies for the first time. To celebrate this event and in recognition of the significant role the BPAG played in saving the aircraft from being scrapped, we have commissioned this exclusive 50th Anniversary Coin and Patch set.

One side of the coin features a tribute to the aircraft’s famous period as ‘Black Mike’, while the flip side celebrates XV582’s speed run in 1988 (while part of 43 Sqn) with a reproduction of the original nose artwork navigator Flt Lt Michael Pugh Davies. The accompanying patch features custom artwork of XV582 and the famous Spook, specially commissioned by the BPAG.

The entire run is strictly limited to 111 units and each order consists of one double sided coin and one patch in a presentation box. The cost of each set is £25 and P&P is free on pre-orders only. To reserve your set, please email phantomerchandise@outlook.com

Welcome the Spook into your wardrobe. After only being sold at the BPAG’s summer events, these exclusive t-shirts are now available from the webstore.

This design features the famous F-4 Spook in a UK specific guise and is screenprinted in full colour on a heavyweight (185 g/m) pre-shrunk cotton short sleeved t-shirt. The front print, on the left breast, is the BPAG logo and the rear features a back print with an enlargement of the Spook.
